Bell & Gossett Series e-1531 pumps are space-saving, close-coupled, end suction pumps with footless volutes designed to offer the highest overall efficiencies in HVAC and plumbing applications. With the largest “Efficiency Island” compared to similar pumps, the e-1531 reduces electricity consumption, improves overall system performance, and lowers life cycle costs. In addition, this new and extensive product line enables users to maintain significantly higher levels of efficiency over a much more comprehensive range of operating conditions. The Series e-1531’s exceptional performance results from cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics (CFD) design technology, deep hydraulic engineering expertise, and Xylem’s comprehensive knowledge of HVAC and plumbing applications.
The Bell & Gossett Series e-1531 is available in 15 sizes and various configuration options, enabling customization and flexibility to fit a broad range of operating conditions. Series e-1531 pumps are best suited for hydronic heating and cooling systems, general service, cooling towers, and industrial uses.
These end suction, close-coupled, footless pumps are available in 1.25" through 6" discharge and with motor sizes 3/4 to 50 HP at 1750 RPM and 2 to 60 HP at 3500 RPM. The stainless steel construction provides flows to 2300 GPM and heads to 400 feet. Close-coupled, space-saving economy plus rugged construction make the Series e-1531 the ideal selection for various applications. Available with the B&G standard self-flushing carbon/ceramic mechanical seals in 175 psi working pressure design.

- ISO G6.3 balanced stainless steel impellers for vibration-free, improved, sustainable hydraulic performance, reduced corrosion potential, and application flexibility. Impellers are precision fitted to the shaft and positively locked with a shaft key.
- Back pullout design for ease of maintenance
- Internally self-flushing mechanical seals – ensure maximum seal face lubrication, heat dissipation, and debris removal without vulnerable, external flush tubing. As much as 25 percent of the total pump flow continuously flushes the seal faces.
- Stainless steel shaft sleeve – special sealing between the sleeve and shaft prevents corrosion of the shaft by the pumped fluid.
- Heavy duty cast iron volute construction for 175 psi working pressure
- Jacking bolts for ease of volute disassembly
