Key 585HP Features
Laser-Welded Construction
A high-intensity laser beam is focused right at the body to body-end joint, which melts the bronze alloy material at the seam. The seam then re-solidifies as a high-strength, welded part. This creates an incredibly strong joint, eliminating a potential leak path and providing high structural integrity with better performance. The weld also allows for a pressure rating of up to 1,000 CWP, exceeding 600 CWP on traditional ball valves.
Reversible Handle
A reversible handle eliminates the need to re-install the valve due to an unforeseen obstruction. This valuable time- and money-saving feature is designed for prefabricated sub-assemblies produced off-site and where valve handle modification is common during installation. In addition, it provides flexibility and optimizes ergonomics no matter the piping configuration.
Triple-Sealed Stem
The 585HP is triple-sealed; two O-rings combined with PTFE packing provide the highest reliability and no replacement of packing during the valve’s life.
Large, Accessible Packing Nut
The large, accessible packing ring on 585HP valves allows the PTFE packing to be serviced and replaced in the future. No special packing wrench required.
