A Bell & Gossett compression tank on closed hydronic systems provides adequate pressurization under all operating conditions. Above all, a compression tank must be airtight. Compression tanks absorb the expansion forces of the system water and provide proper pressurization under varying operating conditions. In addition, when used with Airtrol Fittings, it offers positive air control.
