Bell & Gossett Series e-80 Close Couple In-Line Centrifugal Pumps

Bell & Gossett Series e-80 close-coupled in-line centrifugal pumps are designed to circulate water and glycol mixtures through HVAC and plumbing systems. Their direct-mounted in-line design and back pull-out construction make them well suited for closed-loop applications where compact installation, service access, and dependable fluid movement are important to maintaining efficient heat transfer and reliable overall system performance.

High-Efficiency In-Line Pumping with Heavy-Duty Performance

Bell & Gossett Series e-80 close-coupled in-line pumps are designed to deliver strong hydraulic performance, energy efficiency, and long service life across a wide range of operating conditions. As part of Bell & Gossett’s highly efficient Series e-80 product line, these pumps are built with quality components that help support smooth operation, reduce maintenance needs, and extend pump life.

Designed for both horizontal and vertical in-line mounting, Series e-80 pumps provide installation flexibility while helping save valuable mechanical room space. They are ideal for hydronic heating and cooling systems, light industrial processes, and general service applications.

Series e-80 pumps are available in sizes from 1-1/2" through 8", with horsepower ranges from 1/4 to 50 HP at 1750 RPM and 5 to 60 HP at 3500 RPM. Available in stainless steel fitted construction, these pumps can deliver flows up to 2,500 GPM and heads up to 380 feet.

For even greater system efficiency and control, Series e-80 pumps can be paired with optional PPS controllers, IPC drives, or Integrated Technologic variable frequency drives. Sensored and sensorless control options are available to help optimize pump performance based on system demand.

Mechanical Seal Design

The Series e-80 features a compact rotating unitized seal head design that helps simplify seal replacement. A standard internally flushed mechanical seal is included and rated for a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI.

Two optional mechanical seals are also available, each rated for maximum pressures up to 250 PSI. One option is installed internally, while the other is designed for external installation. Both optional seal types use an external flush line to help extend seal life.

Shaft-Jacking Coupling

Series e-80 pumps feature a patented shaft-jacking coupling design that makes maintenance easier and more efficient. This design allows one service technician to replace the mechanical seal without requiring another person to lift the pump shaft during reassembly.

Depending on mechanical room layout and lifting equipment availability, this feature can help reduce labor costs and pump downtime by up to 40%.
