Bell & Gossett TCS and TCW U-Tube Tank Heaters
Designed to heat and store water in the same unit, providing an efficient solution for mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, and applications where dependable hot water generation is required. Their shell-and-tube design uses a U-tube bundle to transfer heat from steam or hot water circulating through the tubes to the fluid stored in the tank.
These tank heaters operate primarily through natural convection inside the tank. As steam or hot water passes through the tube bundle, heat is transferred to the surrounding tank water, helping provide consistent performance without requiring a separate external heat exchanger.
The U-bend tube construction allows the bundle to expand and contract over a wide range of temperatures. Tube ends are expanded into a stationary tube sheet, creating a durable construction that supports long service life and reliable operation.
Bell & Gossett TCS and TCW tank heaters are 2-pass U-bend heat exchangers and are available in single-wall or double-wall tube construction. Their large heating capacity in a compact footprint makes them especially useful in boiler rooms with limited space or low headroom. They are also well suited for hard water areas.
Model TCS heads are furnished with tappings for steam, condensate, vacuum breaker, and vent connections. Model TCW heads are furnished with tappings for water connections.
