This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT18F, is designed to remove air from a hydronic system with a maximum pressure of 150 psi. The separator utilizes a tangential flow pattern that directs the fluid into a low velocity centrifugal flow. As the fluid flows through the separator, the air is separated and collected in the top chamber. The collected air is then released through an automatic vent valve. Additionally, this model comes with a strainer to remove debris from the system and a base ring for easy installation. With an 18" flanged connection, this air separator is suitable for use in large commercial and industrial applications where high volumes of air are expected to be present in the system.
