This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4914ADR, is a reliable and efficient solution for removing air and dirt from hydronic systems. With its 14" flanged connection and maximum operating pressure of 125 psi, this separator is ideal for commercial applications. The removable top cover makes it easy to access the internal components for maintenance and cleaning. This separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium that captures microbubbles of air and fine particles of dirt, preventing them from circulating in the system. As water flows through the separator, the captured air and dirt are released through a vent valve. Designed with durability in mind, this Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator is built to last and ensure optimal performance in hydronic systems.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
