Taco 4905AR-150, Air Separator Replacement Cover, 5", 150 PSI

This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4905AR, is designed to remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The removable top cover makes it easy to access and clean the internal components. With a 5" flanged connection, it can handle high flow rates up to 150 psi. When installed in a hydronic system, the air separator uses centrifugal force to separate air bubbles from the water, which are then released through an automatic air vent. This improves system efficiency and prevents damage from air pockets. Its durable construction and efficient performance make it an excellent choice for commercial applications.

4900 Series Overview

Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.

These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.

Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
