This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4904ADR, is designed to effectively remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. Its removable top cover makes maintenance and cleaning easy, while the 4" flanged connection ensures secure installation. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi and primary secondary air (psa) compatibility, this separator is built to handle tough commercial applications. The separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium to capture air and dirt particles, which are then released through a purge valve. This efficient process helps prevent system damage caused by air and dirt buildup. Overall, the Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator is a reliable choice for maintaining optimal system performance in commercial hydronic applications.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
