This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4912AHR, is designed to efficiently remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a high velocity capability, this air separator can handle up to 150 psi and features a removable top cover for easy maintenance. The 12" flanged connection ensures easy installation into your system. As water flows through the separator, it is directed in a spiral motion that separates any air bubbles present in the system. These bubbles are then collected and vented out of the system through an automatic float-type vent. This process helps improve the overall efficiency of the system by reducing noise, improving heat transfer, and preventing corrosion caused by oxygen in the water.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
