This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4912ADM, is a highly efficient device designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With its switchable on/off magnet feature, it can effectively capture both magnetic and non-magnetic particles up to 5 microns in size. The 12" flanged connection ensures easy installation and maintenance while the maximum operating pressure of 125 psi makes it suitable for use in commercial applications. The separator works by creating a low-velocity zone where air and dirt particles are separated from the water flow and collected in a removable chamber. This ensures that the system operates at peak efficiency with minimal maintenance requirements.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
