This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4908ADG, is an efficient solution for removing air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With an 8" grooved connection and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is designed for use in large commercial applications. The separator works by using a coalescing medium to remove air bubbles and dirt particles from the system's fluid. As the fluid flows through the separator, the coalescing medium captures any contaminants, which can then be easily removed through a blowdown valve. This process helps to improve system efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and extend equipment life.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
