This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 49025AT, is a powerful tool for removing air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a 2.5" threaded connection and the ability to withstand pressures of up to 150 psi, it is designed to work seamlessly with commercial-grade systems. The air separator works by creating a low-velocity zone in which air bubbles rise to the top and are then eliminated through an automatic valve. This process ensures that the system operates at maximum efficiency, reducing energy consumption and extending the life of components such as pumps, boilers, and chillers. The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator is a reliable choice for any commercial HVAC system looking to improve performance and reduce maintenance costs.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
