This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4916ADHR, is a high velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. With a removable top cover and 16" flanged connection, it can efficiently handle flow rates up to 60,000 gallons per hour. The separator has a maximum working pressure of 125 psi and comes with a base ring for easy installation. Its unique design ensures that air and dirt are separated from the system's water flow without causing any pressure drops or flow restrictions. As water flows through the separator, it is directed in a spiral motion, allowing the heavier particles to settle at the bottom while air rises to the top where it can be easily vented out of the system. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
