This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4902ADR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. The removable top cover allows for easy access to the interior for maintenance and cleaning. The 2" flanged connection ensures a secure installation. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The separator works by using centrifugal force to separate air and dirt particles from the fluid in the system, which are then collected in the bottom of the separator. This helps to improve system efficiency and prevent damage to components caused by debris buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
