This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4906ADH, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. It features a 6" flanged connection and can handle pressures up to 125 psi. The base ring provides stability during installation. The high velocity design ensures efficient separation of air and dirt particles. As water enters the separator, it is forced into a cyclonic action that separates the air and dirt from the fluid. The separated air and dirt are then directed towards the top of the separator where they can be easily removed through an automatic vent or manual blowdown valve. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
