This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT12, is designed for use in hydronic systems with a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi. The separator features a 12" flanged connection and uses tangential flow to remove air and micro-bubbles from the system's fluid. As the fluid enters the separator, it is forced to rotate along the inner wall of the unit, creating a centrifugal force that separates air and other gases from the liquid. The separated air is then vented through a top-mounted vent valve while the clean fluid continues through the outlet connection. This efficient design helps to improve system performance and reduce maintenance requirements by preventing corrosion and blockages caused by trapped air.
ACT Series Overview
Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separators feature a highly efficient tangential design that helps clear the free air system and reduces un-dissolved sediment to save money, energy, and component wear.
