This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4908AH, is designed for use in hydronic systems to remove air and other gases from the water. The separator features an 8" flanged connection and can handle pressures up to 150 psi. With its high velocity design, the separator is able to efficiently remove even the smallest of air bubbles from the system. The base ring provides stability and support during installation, ensuring that the separator operates smoothly and effectively. When installed correctly, this air separator helps to improve system efficiency and reduce maintenance costs by preventing corrosion, pump cavitation, and other issues caused by air in the system.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
