This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 49025AHG, is designed to eliminate air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The air separator features a high velocity, 2.5" grooved connection that allows for easy installation and maintenance. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this air separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The unit works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate air from the system fluid, which is then discharged through the top of the unit while the separated air is vented through a float-type automatic air vent. This process helps to improve system efficiency and prevent damage caused by trapped air in the system.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
