This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4902AR, is designed to remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. Its removable top cover and 2" flanged connection make it easy to install and maintain. The air separator is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 psi, ensuring reliable performance in commercial applications. As water flows through the air separator, the internal baffle separates out any entrained air bubbles, which then rise to the top of the unit and are vented through an automatic float vent. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
