This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4903adb, is a high-quality product designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. Its removable bottom cover and 3" flanged connection make it easy to install and maintain. With a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi, this separator is suitable for use in a wide range of commercial applications. The separator works by utilizing the principle of centrifugal separation to remove air and dirt particles from the system's fluid stream. As the fluid enters the separator, it is forced into a spiral flow pattern that causes heavier particles to move towards the outer edge of the unit while lighter particles are carried towards the center. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
