This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4924AD, is designed to effectively remove air and dirt from hydronic systems with a maximum pressure rating of 150 psi. The separator uses a coalescing medium to capture microbubbles and suspended particles, which are then removed through a blowdown valve. Its flanged connection makes it easy to install in commercial applications where large volumes of water are used. With its compact size of 24", the separator can be installed in tight spaces without compromising its performance. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
