This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4912AG, is designed to remove any air or gas bubbles from a hydronic heating or cooling system. The 12" grooved connection and base ring allow for easy installation and maintenance. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this air separator is capable of handling high-pressure systems commonly found in commercial buildings. The grooved design of the connection ensures a secure and leak-free fit with other piping components. As water flows through the separator, any air or gas bubbles rise to the top and are vented out through an automatic air vent. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
