This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4904AD, is a reliable and efficient solution for removing air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The separator features a 4" flanged connection and can withstand up to 125 psi of pressure. It is also primary secondary air (psa) compatible, making it suitable for use in a wide range of applications. The separator works by using centrifugal force to separate air and dirt particles from the system's fluid, which are then discharged through an automatic purge valve. This helps to improve system efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and extend the life of system components. Overall, the Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator is an excellent choice for any hydronic system in need of effective air and dirt removal.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
