This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4912ADHG, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a high velocity flow, this separator effectively removes air bubbles and debris that can cause damage to pumps, valves, and other system components. The 12" grooved connection allows for easy installation in commercial applications with a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. The separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate the air and dirt from the water in the system, which is then collected in a removable internal strainer for easy maintenance. This product is an essential component for any hydronic system aiming for efficient operation and long-term durability.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
