This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separator, Model 4903DM, is a highly efficient and reliable product designed to remove dirt and debris from hydronic systems. The switchable on/off magnet allows for easy cleaning of collected debris. With a 3" flanged connection and a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi, this dirt separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The product works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate dirt particles from the circulating fluid in the system. As the fluid enters the separator, it is directed into a specially designed chamber where the velocity of the fluid is reduced. This reduction in velocity causes the heavier dirt particles to settle at the bottom of the chamber where they can be easily removed through a blow-down valve. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
