This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separator, Model 4910D, is a highly efficient and reliable product designed for use in hydronic systems. With a 10" flanged connection and a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this dirt separator is capable of removing even the smallest particles from the system's water supply. The primary secondary air (psa) compatibility ensures that it can be used with a wide range of HVAC systems. The separator works by using centrifugal force to separate dirt and debris from the water, which then settles at the bottom of the unit for easy removal. This process helps to prevent damage to pumps, valves, and other components in the system, while also improving overall efficiency. Made from high-quality materials and built to last, this Taco dirt separator is an excellent choice for any commercial or industrial hydronic system.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
