This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4902ATR, is designed to remove air and debris from hydronic heating and cooling systems. Its removable top cover makes it easy to access and clean the interior of the unit. With a 2" threaded connection, it can handle high flow rates up to 150 psi. The separator works by using centrifugal force to separate air and debris from the circulating fluid in the system. The separated air is then vented through an automatic air vent, while debris collects in a removable bottom chamber for easy disposal. This reliable and efficient separator helps maintain optimal system performance and prolongs equipment life.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
