This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4906ADR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. The removable top cover with a 6" flanged connection allows for easy access to the interior for maintenance and cleaning. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium to remove air bubbles and dirt particles from the system's fluid flow. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
