This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4904ADMR, is a high-quality product designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. Equipped with a switchable on/off magnet, this air and dirt separator effectively captures ferrous debris and other contaminants. The removable top cover allows for easy maintenance and cleaning, ensuring optimal performance. With a 4" flanged connection and a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi, this separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to remove air and dirt particles from the system's fluid flow. As the fluid enters the separator, it is forced into a spiral flow pattern that causes heavier particles to be thrown to the outer edges of the separator where they can be easily removed.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
