This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4904AHR, is designed to remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a high velocity and a removable top cover, it is easy to install and maintain. The 4" flanged connection ensures a secure fit in the system. This air separator has a maximum pressure rating of 125 psi, making it suitable for use in commercial applications. As water flows through the separator, it separates out any air bubbles that may be present in the system. These bubbles can cause inefficiencies and damage to equipment if left unchecked. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
