This Chemtrol threaded union is an injection molded Chem-Pure natural polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic fitting that features female NPT thread connections. Natural color Chem-Pure fittings are used with deionized water systems, clean chemical processes, pharmaceutical operations and food processing. This Chemtrol threaded union is supplied with a FKM fluorocarbon seals which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol Chem-Pure polypropylene exhibits extremely low content of metals, organic compounds, and free ions. No pigments or other adulterants (natural) are added to the plastic resin.
