This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4903ADG, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a 3" grooved connection and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The separator works by creating a low-velocity zone that allows air and dirt to be separated from the water in the system. The air is then vented through an automatic air vent, while the dirt is collected in a removable strainer. This product helps to improve the efficiency of the hydronic system by preventing damage to pumps and other components caused by air and dirt buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
