This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT18, is designed to remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The separator features a tangential inlet that creates a low-velocity vortex in the tank, allowing entrained air to be separated and vented through an air vent located at the top of the tank. The separator has an 18" flanged connection and can operate at a maximum pressure of 150 psi. The unit is constructed with a heavy-duty steel tank and includes a removable cover for easy access during maintenance. This air separator is an essential component in any hydronic system, ensuring efficient operation by preventing unwanted air from causing system inefficiencies or damage.
