This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4916AR, is designed to remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The removable top cover and 16" flanged connection make it easy to install and maintain. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this air separator can handle high-pressure systems. As water flows through the air separator, the internal baffle separates out any air bubbles that may be present in the system. The separated air is then vented out through an automatic float vent. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
