This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4906ADHR, is designed to effectively remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. With a removable top cover, maintenance and cleaning are made easy. Its 6" flanged connection allows for easy installation, while its base ring provides stability. This separator can withstand pressures of up to 150 psi, making it a reliable choice for commercial applications. When installed in the system's piping, this separator works by separating the air and dirt from the water as it circulates through the system. The separated air is then vented out of the system while the separated dirt is collected at the bottom of the separator for easy removal during maintenance.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
