This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4910AD, is a reliable solution for removing air and dirt from hydronic systems. The separator has a 10" flanged connection and can handle up to 150 psi. The Taco 4900 series uses a patented PALL ring technology that efficiently separates air and dirt particles from the system fluid. As the fluid flows through the separator, it encounters the PALL rings which create a centrifugal force that separates the air and dirt particles from the fluid. The separated particles accumulate at the bottom of the separator where they can be easily removed. This product is ideal for commercial hydronic systems where air and dirt buildup can cause performance issues or damage to equipment.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
