This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4936AD, is a high-quality product designed for use in hydronic systems. The flanged connection and 150 psi rating make it ideal for commercial applications. The separator works by removing air and dirt particles from the system, which can improve efficiency and prevent damage to other components. As water flows through the separator, it is forced to change direction, causing any air or dirt particles to separate from the water and collect in the bottom of the unit. These particles can then be easily removed through a blowdown valve. With its durable construction and effective performance, the Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator is an excellent choice for any commercial hydronic system.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
