This Chemtrol threaded union is an injection molded red Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastic fitting that features female pipe thread connections. Red Kynar fittings are ideal for use with hot corrosive liquids, chemical processing, industrial plating, and waste treatment systems. This Chemtrol threaded union is supplied with a FKM fluorocarbon seals which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol Kynar red PVDF exhibits superior strength, working temperature and chemical resistance characteristics. Red pigment provides UV protection.
