This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4906A, is an essential component of any hydronic system. Designed with a 6" flanged connection and a maximum pressure rating of 125 psi, it effectively removes air and other gaseous impurities from the circulating water. The primary secondary air (psa) compatibility of this air separator ensures that it can be used with both primary and secondary loops in the system. The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium that separates the air from the water as it passes through the unit. 4900 Series Overview

Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.

These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.

Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
