This Taco 5900 Series FlexBalance Air and Dirt Separator, Model 59025PT, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. It features a 2.5" flanged connection and can handle pressures up to 125 psi. The separator works by using a coalescing medium that captures air and dirt particles as they flow through the system. These particles are then removed from the system through a purge valve. The separator also includes a FlexBalance feature that helps to maintain system balance by adjusting the flow rate of water in response to changes in demand. This product is an ideal choice for any hydronic system that requires efficient air and dirt removal, while also maintaining proper system balance.
5900 Series Overview
The Taco patented 5900 Series FlexBalance Air Separator acts as a hydraulic bridge between the primary and secondary heating and cooling applications to improve system energy efficiency and allow smaller pumps for each system circuit. The 5900 Series FlexBalance Air Separator helps prevent hydraulic coupling of pumps or pumps in series by primary/secondary configurations and prevent unanticipated ghost-flows caused by oversized pumps in primary and secondary circuits. They are available with optional 304SS PALL ring basket configurations to enhance the air and dirt separation capabilities of the 5900. 5900 Series FlexBalance Air Separator Tanks are designed, constructed, and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 requirements.
