This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separator, Model 4910DHR, is a high velocity and primary secondary air (psa) compatible product designed for use in hydronic systems. It features a removable top cover and a 10" flanged connection that allows for easy installation and maintenance. With a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this dirt separator is capable of effectively removing dirt, debris, and other impurities from the system's water supply. The product works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate solid particles from the fluid flow. This results in cleaner water circulating throughout the system, which can improve its overall efficiency and lifespan.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
