This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4906A, is a reliable component of any hydronic system. With a 6" flanged connection and a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this air separator effectively removes entrained air from the system to improve its efficiency and performance. The primary secondary air (psa) compatibility ensures that the device can be used in both primary and secondary loop applications. The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate air from the circulating fluid in the system. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
