This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4908ADR, features a removable top cover and an 8" flanged connection, making it easy to install and maintain in hydronic systems. With a maximum working pressure of 250 psi, this separator effectively removes air and dirt from the system to improve efficiency and prevent damage to equipment. The separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium that captures air and dirt particles as they pass through the system. The captured particles are then released through a purge valve for easy disposal. This product is ideal for use in commercial applications where high flow rates are required, such as in large buildings or industrial facilities.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
