This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4908ADMR, is designed to effectively remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. Equipped with a switchable on/off magnet, it can easily capture ferrous particles. The removable top cover allows for easy access to the internal components for maintenance and cleaning. It features an 8" flanged connection which provides ample space for efficient air and dirt separation. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. When installed in a hydronic system, it works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate air and dirt from the fluid stream before they can cause damage or reduce system efficiency.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
