This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4904ADHR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. The high-velocity unit has a removable top cover for easy maintenance and inspection. It features a 4" flanged connection and can handle pressures up to 150 psi. This separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate air and dirt particles from the water in the system. The separated particles are then collected in the bottom of the separator for easy removal. With its efficient design, this Taco separator helps maintain optimal system performance by preventing damage caused by air and dirt buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
