This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4912ADH, is a high velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. With a 12" flanged connection and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is ideal for large commercial applications. The base ring provides stability during installation and allows for easy maintenance. The separator works by creating a low-velocity zone in the center of the unit where air and dirt can collect. As water flows through the unit, the air and dirt are separated from the water and discharged through the bottom of the separator. This improves system efficiency, reduces maintenance costs, and extends equipment life.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
