This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4910AH, is designed to effectively remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The separator features a high-velocity tangential inlet that creates a centrifugal action, allowing the heavier air-free water to move towards the outer edges of the tank while the lighter air is collected at the center and vented out through an automatic air vent. The separator has a 10" flanged connection and can withstand pressures up to 125 psi. This product is an essential component for maintaining optimal performance and efficiency in any commercial hydronic system.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
