This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 49025ADHR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. It features a high velocity design that allows for efficient separation of air and dirt particles. The removable top cover makes it easy to clean and maintain the unit. With a 2.5" flanged connection, this separator can handle up to 125 psi of pressure. When installed in a hydronic system, the separator works by using centrifugal force to remove air and dirt particles from the circulating fluid. This helps to improve system efficiency and prevent damage to pumps, valves, and other components.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
