Taco 4903AT-150, 3" Threaded Air Separator, 150 PSI

This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4903AT, is designed to remove air and microbubbles from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With its 3" threaded connection and maximum pressure rating of 150 psi, this air separator is suitable for use in commercial applications. The device works by utilizing a patented PALL ring technology that separates the air from the water in the system. As water flows through the device, it passes over the PALL rings which create a centrifugal force that separates the air from the water. The separated air is then vented out of the system through an automatic air vent valve while the water continues on its path through the hydronic system. This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator ensures efficient operation of hydronic systems by preventing damage caused by trapped air pockets and microbubbles.

4900 Series Overview

Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.

These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.

Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
